Decks in Central Oregon take a beating. Sun on the south side, snow sitting on the north side, and pine needles holding moisture in every gap. When the boards get soft or the framing starts to go, replacing it is the right call, and the demo is the part nobody wants to do themselves.
We unscrew or cut the decking, drop the joists and beams, pull or cut the posts flush, and remove the railings, stairs and any patio cover or pergola attached. Everything goes on the trailer as it comes off, so your yard is never buried in lumber. If a contractor is building the new deck, we leave the ledger and footings per their instructions, or take them out if they want a clean slate.
Nails and screws are the hidden hazard on a deck demo. We sweep the area with a magnet before we leave so there is nothing left for a bare foot or a lawnmower to find.
A standard 12x16 deck is usually a half to three-quarter trailer load, which is $300 to $450 with teardown labor included. Big multi-level decks and ones with concrete footings run higher and we quote them on site. Hot tub decks are common here, and if the tub is going too see our hot tub removal page.
You pay by how much room the load takes in our 14 foot dump trailer. Labor, the truck and dump fees are included, and you get the number on site before anything is loaded.
Yard debris and snow removal are priced separately. Full details on the pricing page.
